Running Goals in Dire Straits but still a dream to me....
In 2022 my weight ballooned to 102kg towards the end of the year, my conditioning suffered but resting heart rates remained in the 40s or low 50s mostly.
Survived the 3 Valleys 25km trails race with 900m vertical gain in 5hrs 37min
Designed my own VK and Vertical Mile race which I was able to run taking 6hrs 55 to do the VK and 7hrs 36min to do the VM.
Wanted to do UTA but not an option in my current financial state or physical state.
Wanted to do UTMB Kosci and Transcend but same issues as UTA.
Ran Perth half marathon in 2.39 and Freo Half in 2.38.
One of the highlights of the year was encountering graupel snow pellets on Bluff Knoll which I was very blessed to ascend, one of the most spectacular surreal and dangerously challenging mornings of my life!!!!
John Gilmour 10K track race took me 67minutes
DNFed Perth Marathon in 37km and over 6hrs which was very disappointing but just couldnt go fast enough...partly due to poor nutrition and drinks
