At Champion Lakes I was recovering from an exciting late night out at the footy watching Freo sneak past Sydney by 1 point, and ran the first K a bit quick, but managed to grind out a 1.55 after finding a "second wind" thanks to some chews with a few Ks to go...Champion Lakes stravadata

At RunMelbourne I tried to start more cautiously, and ticked off a few 4.40ish K splits in the first few Ks, to go through 5k in 24.40ish, then 7k in 36min, 8k in 41min, but then struggled to adjust to some hills and lots of turns in the course, resulting in a 14k split of about 75min, still not too bad, but then tore a calf muscle trying to find something for the last 6km...and had to hobble my way to the finish in 2hrs 03min...RM stravadata
