15th Bridges and a 4 hour run

Not much running and even less blogging lately, too busy with work and very limited internet access options. Blogging extremely briefly now at my parents.

Saturday 16th April
4hrs 7min run (33km) on darlington to Mt Helena and back trail...
Awesome to just get out there and get a long run on the board...very hard as first long run since 6 foot 5 weeks ago...

However on 10th April I managed to run my 15th consecutive Bridges funrun a few weeks back. 10km very slow in 52min 55 (including 2 minute toilet break) 4.19 in the first K, and ran alongside but well left of the front bunch in the first 500m. Nice to catch up with other coolrunners that day, and see a few of the legends who did 6 foot there like Rhys, Dan, Sanet, John, and Jane.
Good catching up with Kevin, Kate and others too...nice to be racing, and last 3km found some good momentum and some sub 5min K's...

Hopefully will be able to settle into some good routines at work, and get some training and racing happening again. However my family and work commitments are a big struggle at present, so I am sort of on hiatus from running training and racing at the moment until things settle. Not sure when that will be, but hopefully soon.

Also I know it was more than a month ago, so it almost feels like why bother, but I intend finishing my account of my successful 6 foot race HERE If not in April, maybe in May... when I get time...

Below is a photo of me and CR Jeannies husband after the Bridges 10km on April 10th.

Glad you're soldiering on with the running and blogging under difficult circumstances. Still having a crack I see with the leaders in the early running of 2 bridges.

The running will come back fast - get the work/money stuff sorted first. Never too late to read a 6' report - especially a first one.
