Achilles twinges?
Hopefully I am wrong, but as a precaution I intend icing the ankle, and hope to stop running for a few weeks. Plan being to get my mountainbike operational again and maybe do some swimming and avoid running for awhile. Just had a look on the net which suggests that calves exercises to strengthen the gastrocnemius and soleus is a free (no costs) way of combating achilles soreness...If the calves are strong less strain on the achilles....So will have to start doing calves exercises regularly... Still plan to attack the Bridges 10km "all systems go", but plan to avoid running much after that for at least 2-4 weeks...
