Getting my Perth Marathon plans on track???
2007 goals;
GOAL ONE; Avoid any new major injuries.
GOAL TWO; Get some reps going with a view to targeting;
PB's or better still; sub 19 minute 5km, sub 38minute 10km, sub 1hr 30 HALF,
sub 3hr Marathon, sub 5 hours SIX INCH 45km
GOAL THREE; make a serious charge towards
SIX FOOT 45km on 8th March 2008!
GOAL FOUR; work on swimming and to a lesser extent cycling so as to be ready for a tilt at a Half Ironman Triathlon in 2008, or some shorter Triathlons in 2007/2008, or some adventure racing in 2008.
GOAL FIVE; improve my lifestyle,fitness,nutrition,commitment to training without negatively impacting on my marraige,family,work,relationship with God too much...as these things are more important to me than racing goals, but in some ways they feed off each other...i.e. if I am racing and training well the other things seem to go better...
So what races,training groups will I attempt to use me to motivate me towards these lofty goals...well to start the year I had a lot of races lined up but most of 'em I did not get to...so hopefully will get to more races this year.
In 2006 I only did the Burswood 5k,Matilda Bay 10k,John Forrest 12k,Bridges 10k,Freo Half,Perth Marathon and Six Inch 45km. Seven races is a little less...than the 8-10 races I did 2002-2005 see my racing2001-2005.. In 2006 I was very busy getting married and helping my wife get the house we are still renting operational...
